Get started with the PAX A920Pro

Your PAX A920Pro is preconfigured and ready to accept payments out of the box. It connects automatically to the Telstra 4G network, or you can connect via Wi-Fi for the most stable connection.

What's in the box

Android payment terminal (battery pack pre-inserted)
Charging base
Power adapter
1.2m USB cable (USB-A to USB-C)
5 x paper rolls
PAX A920Pro Quick Start flyer

Setting up

1

Charge the terminal

Charge before first use — we recommend at least 4 hours. You can charge two ways:

Via USB-C (direct)

a. Plug the power adapter into a power point.
b. Insert the USB-C connector into the port on the left side of the terminal.
c. Confirm charging — a lightning bolt icon will appear next to the battery indicator in the top-right of the screen.

Via charging base

a. Plug the power adapter into a power point.
b. Flip the base upside down and connect the USB-C cable into the port labelled Power.
c. Route the cable through the cable management grooves so the base sits flat.
d. Place the terminal onto the base — charging begins automatically via the contact pins on the back.
e. Confirm charging via the lightning bolt battery icon.
2

Power on

Press and hold the Power button on the right side of the terminal until the display lights up.

3

Load a paper roll (if required)

Lift the printer door hatch, insert a paper roll with the flap facing forward, pull a small length of paper toward the terminal, then close the cover firmly. For full instructions, see Loading a paper roll.

4

Connect to Wi-Fi (recommended)

Wi-Fi provides the most stable connection and allows the terminal to fall back to Telstra 4G if your internet goes down. See Connecting to Wi-Fi for steps.

5

Start taking payments

Once connected to Wi-Fi or 4G, your terminal is ready. See Taking a payment for instructions.

Powering off Press and hold the Power button on the right side for approximately 2 seconds, then select Power off from the on-screen options.
