1. How to get started


Download LiveTap Plugin


1. Download the LiveTap plugin from Google Store

2. Open the plugin. You will be prompted to Allow LiveTap Plugin to access your device's location

3. Select 'While using the app'

4. Close the plugin

1. Download the LiveTap app from Google Store 

Account set up

  1. Have your MyWeb account details ready

  2. Sign in with your MyWeb or Live Portal username and password

  3. Choose where you want the verification code to be sent (mobile or email)

  4. In the LiveTap verification fields, enter the one time verification code that was sent to you

Pin set up

  1. Create a 4 digit pin that you will use to access LiveTap from now on

2. How to take a payment

  1. Select Take Payment

  2. Enter the amount to be charged

  3. Select Charge

  4. Ask your customer to tap their card or digital wallet on the back of your phone

3. How to cancel a payment before your customer taps to pay

  1. At any point before the customer has tapped their card or phone, you can press the back arrow which is at the top left of the app OR the back arrow on your Android phone

4. How to apply a surcharge

  1. Enter the amount to be charged

  2. Slide the Surcharge toggle to the right

  3. Slide the Surcharge toggle back to the left to remove the surcharge

5. How to enter a sales description

  1. In the Take Payment screen, select Description

  2. Type in the description and press Save

6. How to give your customer a digital receipt by QR code

  1. Once the payment is successful, select Send email

  2. Enter your customer’s email address then press Send

  1. Once the payment is successful, select Send email

  2. Enter your customer’s email address then press Send

8. How to view the details of a transaction

  1. On the home screen, select Payments on the bottom menu

  2. Tap on the transaction you want to view

9. How to void a transaction

  1. On the home screen, select Payments on the bottom menu

  2. In the Recent tab, select the payment you want to void

  3. Tap the 3 dots on the top right then select Void

  4. In the Confirm void payment screen, select Void Payment

10. How to issue a partial refund

  1. On the home screen, select Payments on the bottom menu

  2. In the History tab, select the payment you want to refund

  3. Tap the 3 dots on the top right then select Refund

  4. Tap the Partial refund option

  5. Enter any amount up to the value of the original transaction

  6. Tap Process refund

  7. In the Confirm refund payment screen tap Refund payment

11. How to issue a full refund

  1. On the home screen, select Payments on the bottom menu

  2. In the History tab, select the payment you want to refund

  3. Tap the 3 dots on the top right then select Refund

  4. Full refund is selected by default

  5. Tap Process refund

  6. In the Confirm refund payment screen tap Refund payment
