The Live Payments integrated device supports most transaction types including chip card transactions.
The chip card reader is located at the bottom of the device below the keypad.
To process a chip card transaction, follow the steps below:
- Position the card with the chip facing upward toward the device.
- Insert the chip into the chip card reader slot in a smooth, continual motion as far as the card can go.
- The card should remain inserted in the device until the transaction is complete, and the device prompts you to remove it.
- If there is an error with reading the chip on the card, the device may prompt you to swipe the card.
