Installing the Live eftpos for WooCommerce Payment Gateway plugin

Part 1. Installation

Installation Steps summarised:


  1. Install the Live Payments WooCommerce plugin on your Wordpress account.
    Please note, there are two ways to do this:
    • Method 1.1 [Recommended]: Download the plugin via the Live Portal and upload to Wordpress
    • Method 1.2: Install the plugin directly from the WooCommerce Plugin Marketplace
  2. Configure the plugin with your Live Payments API Key and Terminal ID



Method 1.1 - Access Plugin Via the Live Portal


Step 1

Sign in to the Live Portal and download the latest plugin file



Step 2.1

In WordPress, go to: Plugins > Add New.


Step 2.2

Click 'Upload Plugin'.


Step 2.3

Under 'Choose File', select the Live eftpos for WooCommerce zip file from your PC and click 'Install Now'.


Step 2.4

Once installed, select 'Activate Plugin.


Step 2.5

Under 'Installed Plugins', Live eftpos for WooCommerce will now be active.

Proceed to Part 2: Enabling Live Payments for WooCommerce



Method 1.2 - Install Plugin Via WordPress Plugin Marketplace


Please note, if you have completed method 1.1, please skip this section and go straight to Part 2: Enabling Live Payments for WooCommerce


Step 1.

In WordPress, go to: Plugins > Add New.


Step 2.

Search 'Live eftpos' as your keyword, then click the 'Install Now' button.


Step 3.

The installation will take approximately 10 seconds. Upon completion, click the Activate button.


Step 4.

Under 'Installed Plugins', Confirm that the Live eftpos for WooCommerce plugin is activated.


Proceed to Part 2: Enabling Live Payments for WooCommerce





Part 2. Enabling Live eftpos for WooCommerce

You will need to enable Live eftpos Payment Gateway as a payment method in the WooCommerce settings.

Step 1.
Navigate to the Live Portal > eCommerce menu. 


Step 2.

In here, you will see that you can access your Terminal ID. 
You can also generate a new API Key. Create a new API key, and when prompted, 'copy' the code into your clipboard.

Step 3.

  • Paste these values from step 2 into Wordpress > WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > 'Live Payments for WooCommerce' > Manage > Terminal ID + API Key
  • Save Changes
