How UnionPay works on Live Payments terminals

UnionPay is accepted on Live Payments terminals in the same way as other card schemes.
Payment flow:

1. Enter the transaction amount on the terminal
2. The customer taps, inserts, or swipes their UnionPay card
3. The customer confirms the payment (PIN or contactless)
4. The transaction is processed and approved in real time
5. Funds are settled to your account as per your standard settlement cycle

UnionPay also supports contactless and mobile wallet payments via NFC-enabled devices.

Getting started

UnionPay acceptance is enabled on your Live Payments terminal—no additional hardware is required.
